JAFPAD Medical Services (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates medicalservicesghana.com (the “Site”), an online directory that helps people in Ghana find health facilities and professionals — including doctors, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, blood banks, and fitness centers. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Account registration. When you sign up as a Visitor or a Professional, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and password (stored in encrypted/hashed form).
Professional listings. If you register as a Professional (a doctor, hospital, clinic, pharmacy, or other facility), we additionally collect the information needed to build your public listing — your practice name or specialty, address or location, contact details, and any credentials or supporting information you choose to provide.
Contact form and messages. If you use our Contact Us page or message a listed provider, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.
Forum activity. If you post in our community forums, we collect the content you post and associate it with your account.
Location data. If you use the “Geo location” search feature and grant permission, we collect the location your browser provides in order to show nearby results. You can decline this and search by city or keyword instead.
Automatically collected data. Like most websites, we use cookies for essential site functions — keeping you logged in, remembering search filters, and processing forms. As of this update, we do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers (such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel) on the Site. If that changes, we will update this policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- create and manage your account;
- publish and operate professional directory listings;
- operate the search, contact, and forum features;
- respond to inquiries and provide customer support;
- maintain the security and integrity of the Site; and
- comply with legal obligations.
3. Public Directory Listings
This is important: the core purpose of the Site is to help visitors find and contact health facilities and professionals. If you register as a Professional, the details in your listing — which may include your name, specialty, practice address, phone number, and email — are displayed publicly to anyone who visits the Site. Do not include information in your listing that you do not want to be publicly visible. Visitor accounts are not publicly listed.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it:
- publicly, where you have created a Professional listing (see Section 3);
- with service providers who help us run the Site (for example, our hosting provider), under obligations to protect your data;
- where required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process; and
- to protect the rights, safety, or property of JAFPAD Medical Services, our users, or the public.
5. Data Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Site’s services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 7).
6. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@medicalservicesghana.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843)
We process personal data in accordance with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). Data subjects in Ghana have rights under this Act, and complaints may be directed to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
(Note for the site owner: under Act 843, organizations that process personal data as a “data controller” are generally required to register with the Data Protection Commission. Please confirm JAFPAD Medical Services’ registration status — this is worth checking with a lawyer or the Commission directly.)
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

This policy is a general template intended to describe the Site’s actual current practices in plain language. It is not a substitute for legal advice. We recommend having it reviewed by a lawyer familiar with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) before relying on it for compliance purposes.
